Our only business is to manage portfolios and advise clients.

Discretionary Portfolio Management

As the initial step in the discretionary portfolio management process Elysium initiates an educational process with our clients. We examine the client's past investment experiences, determine their "risk tolerance comfort zone" and gain a thorough understanding of their investment expectations and objectives. The goal of this process is to establish a long-term investment plan that can be achieved within the realities of the financial markets.

This customized long-term investment plan is then documented in a formal Investment Policy Statement. This statement defines the parameters of the asset allocation that satisfies the client's investment needs and risk tolerance. It also serves as a reference to assist in evaluating the progress of the investment portfolio toward achieving the client's investment goals.

Once the Investment Policy Statement is in place, an Elysium portfolio manager begins the discretionary portfolio management process, by taking responsibility for all the day-to-day decisions regarding investment selection and portfolio rebalancing. Our portfolio managers do not receive any compensation or commission for buying or selling securities in our client's portfolios. This avoids any potential conflict of interest and means that Elysium is only rewarded for managing a portfolio in accordance with the client's stated investment objectives.

We meet with clients regularly to review their personal circumstances and the progress that has been made toward achieving their long-term financial goals. Clients also receive informative quarterly reports and comprehensive monthly account statements.
